CDL Delivery Driver
Job Title: CDL Delivery Driver
Reports to: Manager of Operations & Dispatcher
Job Summary:
The core duties and responsibilities of the delivery driver are to provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely, safe, and accurate deliveries and/or pick-up of materials scheduled by the dispatcher and the sales team. Determine the best and fastest delivery/pick-up routes by utilizing navigation applications for traffic. Always account for road construction, and weather delays.
Delivery drivers are responsible to accurately maintain daily written records of mileage, delivery destination(s) and daily vehicle inspections. Records must be submitted to the dispatcher at the end of each day. Drivers are responsible to quickly report equipment and vehicle repairs to minimize down time.
The successful candidate must be safety minded, customer service oriented, and an excellent team player. An active valid CDL driver license and a clean driving record are required. A DMV driving record must be submitted to qualify for this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Transport and deliver materials to customer’s work sites/or homes in a safe and timely manner.
- Collect payments for COD invoices as arranged by the sales team and agreed upon by customers.
- Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are completed accurately to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Safely and efficiently unload materials at job sites and place as instructed by the customer and/or the dispatcher.
- Adhere to assigned itinerary/schedule and follow time schedules.
- Report to the Manager of Operations and/or the Dispatcher any involvement in any traffic or personal accidents incurred while in the job.
- Report any customer complaints or order inaccuracies than caused customer dissatisfaction.
- Abide and obey all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
- Promptly turn in all paperwork related to deliveries or pick-ups to office.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, delivery destinations, and daily vehicle inspections.

The core responsibilities of the Sales Associate are to provide excellent customer service to contractors and retail customers. To ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable, informative, and enthusiastic about products and services we offer to all customers. Manages customer accounts designated to their care. Maximizes sales by maintaining and fostering good long-term relationships with customers and suppliers. Our ideal salesperson has a strong understanding of sales processes, and excels at generating leads, evaluates customer’s needs, and identifies practical solutions to meet the customer demands.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Acknowledge and welcome incoming customer and offer immediate assistance by providing answers to questions. Guide them through the showroom and provides knowledgeable information as needed.

Job Title: Materials Handler/Yardman
Reports to: Operations Manager/Yard Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The primary function of this position is to provide support to Sauder’s Hardscape Supply through collecting, loading, shipping, and receiving warehouse products. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating technical equipment, optimizing loading for efficient logistics and supporting other warehouse functions to ensure optimal operation of the business. Flexibility with scheduled workdays is required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Safely operate/handle forklifts, loaders, and other mechanical equipment under employee(s) care.
- Basic daily maintenance of yard equipment, check oil levels, tires, and forklifts. Operator is responsible to immediately report any machinery operational fails or concerns to Yard Manager and/or Operations Manager.
- Employee is in charge of locating, pulling, and wrapping yard and warehouse materials ordered for customers for pick up/delivery as scheduled. Pulled orders are placed in special slots or designated areas. Pulled order are placed in assigned locations and special slots dedicated for that purpose.
- Ensure accuracy and prompt loading of customer orders in company trucks or customer vehicles, while observing strong safety procedures.
- Unloading and promptly putting away, in the proper yard slots, all material(s) returned by contractor/retail customers. All returns need to be reported to office personnel to be processed for credits due to customers for material(s) returned.
- Ability to manufacture and execute custom work orders at the saw shop.
- Responsible for reporting to Operations Manager inventory discrepancies of yard and warehouse materials.
- Responsible for maintaining yard aisles, loading zones, and parking areas free of debris and pallets to a keep a clean and safe work environment.
- Consolidating partial pallets, as needed, to have the best use of space in the yard.
- Keep warehouse clean by sweeping at least twice a week or as needed.
- Identify and communicate all safety hazards in the workplace to Management.
- Adhere to all other duties assigned by the Yard Manager or Operations Manager.
