Full-Time CDL Driver For Sauder’s Hardscape Supply
Job Title: CDL Delivery Driver
Company: Sauder’s Hardscape Supply
Reports to: Manager of Operations & Dispatcher
Job Summary:
The core duties and responsibilities of the delivery driver are to provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely, safe, and accurate deliveries and/or pick-up of materials scheduled by the dispatcher and the sales team. Determine the best and fastest delivery/pick-up routes by utilizing navigation applications for traffic. Always account for road construction and weather delays.
Delivery drivers are responsible for accurately maintaining daily written records of mileage, delivery of destination(s) and daily vehicle inspections. Records must be submitted to the dispatcher at the end of each day. Drivers are responsible for quickly reporting equipment and vehicle repairs to minimize downtime.
The successful candidate must be safe-minded, customer service-oriented, and an excellent team player. An active valid CDL driver license and a clean driving record are required. A DMV driving record must be submitted to qualify for this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Transport and deliver materials to customer work sites/or homes in a safe and timely manner.
- Collect payments for COD invoices as arranged by the sales team and agreed upon by customers.
- Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are completed accurately to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Safely and efficiently unload materials at job sites and place them as instructed by the customer and/or the dispatcher.
- Adhere to assigned itinerary/schedule and follow time schedules.
- Report to the Manager of Operations and/or the Dispatcher of any involvement in any traffic or personal accidents incurred while on the job.
- Report any customer complaints or order inaccuracies than caused customer dissatisfaction.
- Abide and obey all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
- Promptly turn in all paperwork related to deliveries or pick-ups to the office.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, delivery destinations, and daily vehicle inspections.
- Promptly report vehicle/equipment repairs to supervisor or dispatcher to minimize downtime.

Job Title: CDL Class A Truck Driver

Position Summary:
The CDL Class A Truck Driver – Flatbed Division is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods using flatbed trailers. This position involves securing loads, performing routine vehicle maintenance, completing all required documentation, and maintaining compliance with DOT regulations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to safety, reliability, and professionalism while representing the company on the road.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
- Secure flatbed loads using appropriate strapping, chaining, and tarping methods.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; perform basic vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues.
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently while adhering to schedules.
- Load and unload cargo independently, ensuring goods are properly secured and handled with care.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, including bills of lading (BOL), delivery logs, and fuel/mileage records.
- Complete and maintain paper logs and required documentation per DOT standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse staff.
- Be available for early morning departures (typically between 2–5 AM) and occasional overnight trips (approximately one every two weeks).
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL); ability to maintain a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
- Flatbed experience preferred but not required (training provided).
- Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and paper log procedures (training available).
- Capable of performing basic vehicle maintenance and minor repairs.
- Strong physical stamina for loading, unloading, and securing loads.
- Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Must pass drug and alcohol screening.
- Willingness to work a 50–60-hour workweek with early morning schedules.
