  • Thick/stiff (polymer mortars, repair concrete): Forced‑action drum (TMX) or cone system with auger.
  • Small batches, frequent changes: Auger mixer or handheld paddle.
    Match paddle geometry to viscosity and follow the manufacturer’s mix instructions.

Double paddle (counter‑rotating): Faster wet‑out, reduced material lift, better control in heavy mixes, less user fatigue.

Single paddle: Lighter, simpler, easier to maneuver; good for standard mortars and grout.

Yes—use appropriate paddles and keep RPM low to avoid entraining air. Forced‑action drums and cone systems excel with resin‑bonded sands due to uniform shear.
