Uni-directional geogrids (5 Series and 7 Series) concentrate maximum tensile strength in a single direction to reinforce tall segmental retaining walls up to 15 feet high under heavy soil loads.
Lay the geogrid flat starting near the face of the block course and extend it in one continuous piece to the back of the reinforced soil mass without splicing or overlapping. Pull taut, stake it at the back, and compact backfill soil to a 95% standard proctor before placing subsequent block courses.
