Product Information and Installation:

• Base and bedding: Use 8–10” of base with DriveGrid stabilization between subgrade and base; standard base is 6–8” of 3/4” crusher run compacted to 98% Standard Proctor, with a 1” coarse-sand bedding layer.
• Permeable option: For permeable installations, substitute 6–8” of 3/4” clear open‑graded stone and a 1” layer of 1/4” clear open‑graded chip stone (ASTM No. 8).
• Concrete overlay: Pavers can go over sound, properly sloped concrete if drainage holes are added, frost movement is controlled, surface is smooth, waterproofing is used where needed, and an impervious polymeric joint sand is used.
• Joints and restraint: Joints should be filled with ASTM C144/C33 sand (ordinary or polymeric), kept about 1/8” below the chamfer, and the pavement must be fully restrained at the edges with spike‑in edging or concrete curbs/wedges.
• Compaction, cleaning, sealing, ADA: Final compaction requires a plate compactor with a protective pad or rubber roller; paver‑specific cleaners and approved sealers are optional but must be tested on a small area; joints and height differences larger than 1/2” horizontal or 1/4” vertical should be avoided for accessibility.
