Product Information and Installation:

  • Look and feel: Charm and character of natural flagstone with slightly waved edges and a flamed textured surface
  • Base and bedding: DriveGrid stabilization recommended; standard and permeable base and bedding options with specified depths and aggregate types
  • Concrete overlay: Can be placed over sound, properly sloped concrete with drilled drainage holes, good sub-base drainage, smooth surface, and polymeric jointing sand
  • Jointing materials: Sands meeting ASTM C144 or C33 kept about 1/8” below the chamfer; choice of ordinary concrete sand or polymeric/stabilized sand for best performance
  • Installation details: Edge restraints required around unrestrained perimeters; compaction with a plate compactor using a protective pad or rubber roller
  • Cleaning and sealing: Use paver-specific cleaners and optional approved sealers after cleaning, always testing a small area first
  • Accessibility: Follow ADAAG guidance by avoiding gaps over 1/2” horizontally and height differences over 1/4” vertically between pavers
