Our IL200.552 magnetic 150‑watt transformer is compatible with all Integral Lighting Xenon and LED fixtures. Because low‑voltage (12V) magnetic transformers don’t deliver a perfectly standard 12 volts—typically outputting a fraction of input power (around 10%)—use a digital voltmeter to verify output and maximize bulb or LED life.

To calculate the proper size required for your installation, simply multiply the quantity of fixtures by the wattage…

  • Xenon Example: 12 pc IL6.250 Xenon fixtures X 11.5 watts each = 138 watts minimum required
  • LED Example: 12 pc IL6.225.500 LED fixtures X 2 watts each = 24 watts minimum required
Weight 5 lbs

Landscape Lighting Transformer FAQs

Choose a transformer based on your lights’ voltage and total wattage, with a 20–30% capacity buffer. Consider dimming, indoor vs. outdoor rating, and any extra features.

It depends on your total load and the transformer’s capacity. Example: 10 lights × 10W = 100W. Add at least a 20% buffer, so choose a 120W transformer. You can mix different fixtures on one unit as long as the combined wattage stays within the transformer’s rated output (plus buffer).

To wire your transformer, you’ll need to splice and connect the wires. In addition, you may need to bury them. Check out our installation guide for a more in-depth guide on wiring low-voltage lighting systems.

To install a transformer, you’ll need to mount it on the floor or wall, depending on your chosen type, prepare the wiring, and connect the power supply and load. Again, our installation guide is valuable for setting up your low-voltage lighting system.

  1. Mark the fixture locations.
  2. Drill holes at each mark.
  3. Insert our integrators (stainless sleeve, fasteners, flexible conduit) for clean behind‑the‑wall connections.
  4. Set integrators to hold alignment and level.
  5. Apply mortar.
  6. Slide fixtures into the sleeves for a seamless, professional finish.
